A jaw-dropping casual and fragrant gravel path winding across a superb mix of drought-tolerant and salt-friendly plantings. This lovely walk features showy and aromatic Wild Thyme or Creeping Thyme (Thymus serpyllum), attractive and trouble-free Siberian Irises (Iris sibirica), a couple of fragrant Lavenders (Lavandula angustifolia) with different bloom times and colors, late flowering Sedum and drought tolerant Blanket Flowers (Gaillardia) for their colorful mounds of bright daisy-like flowers.

They are combined with a glorious and reliable California Lilac (Ceanothus) with strong, arching stems, rich dark green foliage, and a cloud of sapphire blue flowers in spring.

Two graceful ornamental grasses have also been beautifully included in this charming scene: Blue Oat grass (Helictotrichon sempervirens) and Maiden grass ‘Gracillimus’ (Miscanthus sinensis). A long-lasting display, a feast for the eyes and the senses!

This naturalistic, colorful, and low-maintenance scene has been brilliantly created by Lankford Associates Landscape Architects.
