Echeveria prolifica (Prolific Echeveria)

Prolific Echeveria

Echeveria prolifica,Prolific Echeveria, Blue echeveria, gray echeveria, Blue succulent, gray succulent

Extraordinarily prolific, Echeveria prolifica is an evergreen spreading succulent with small rosettes of fleshy, plump, pale silvery-green leaves adorned with pink overtones. In spring, it displays compact clusters of bright yellow flowers atop 6-10 in. long stems (15-20 cm). These inflorescences have thick leafy bracts that fall off and root easily. This Echeveria offsets readily and will quickly form a pretty small scale ground cover or quickly fill out containers.

  • Grows up to 6 in. tall (15 cm).
  • Easily grown in sandy, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils in sun or partial shade. Water occasionally. Drought tolerant
  • Perfect as groundcover, Mediterranean gardens or for containers where spectacular floral arrangements can be created.
  • Deer resistant
  • Virtually disease free. Watch for mealybugs, vine weevil and aphids
  • Mostly native to Mexico
