Award-winner Cosmos sulphureus 'Cosmic Orange' is a compact, half-hardy annual boasting semi-double, vibrant orange flowers, up to 2 inches across (5 cm). Blooming for months from early summer to fall, the cheerful blossoms are borne atop sturdy stems and float above the fresh, fern-like foliage. Fairly pest-free and low maintenance, add this charming plant to the landscape and you will be rewarded with abundant butterflies. Creating a graceful visual impact in the garden, it is perfect for sunny borders or containers. Excellent as cut flowers.

  • Growing up to 24 in. tall (60 cm) and 18 in. wide
  • Performs best in full sun, in average, moist, well-drained soils. Tolerates poor soil, heat and humidity.
  • Ideal addition to beds and borders, containers, cottage gardens, prairies and meadows and cutting gardens.
  • keep an eye out for aphids, slugs, gray moulds.
  • Propagate by seeds.
  • Pinching off dead blossoms will promote continuous blooming. If the flower heads remain, the cosmos will self-seed, but will not become a nuisance.
