Korolkowia discolor, Korolkowia sewerzowii
Native to the alpine areas of central Asia, Fritillaria sewerzowii is a charming bulbous perennial boasting a spike of up to 10 nodding, greenish-yellow to vivid purple flowers, up to 1.5 in. (3.5 cm) long, with widely flared mouths in mid to late spring. The plant throws up stems of whorled, fleshy and broadly lance-shaped, glaucous leaves, and are studded with the intensely desirable flowers. Robust and floriferous, this Fritillaria species lights up the spring garden.
