Heuchera 'Midnight Rose' (Coral Bells)

Coral Bells 'Midnight Rose', Alum Root 'Midnight Rose'

Award-winning Heuchera 'Midnight Rose' is a particularly attractive variety of Coral Bells with its foliage of lobed, rounded, long-petioled, dark purple to almost black leaves, speckled with contrasting shiny pink spots. These pink spots enlarge and brighten before lightening to cream as the season progresses.

  • In late spring to midsummer,  panicles of small, bell-shaped, creamy-white flowers bloom on purple slender stems rising up to 24 in. (60 cm) above the semi-evergreen foliage. This sport of Heuchera 'Obsidian' is prized by gardeners for its vigorous rounded habit and good resistance to powdery mildew.
  • This clump-forming perennial forms basal mounds, up to 10 in. tall (25 cm) with a spread of 16 in. (40 cm). This sturdy performer is not only easy to grow, but also requires little maintenance and is pest and disease free!
