Award-winning Japanese Iris ‘Blue Spritz’ (Iris ensata) is a show-stopper with its attractive display of large, double, ruffled, light blue-violet petals adorned with dark blue-violet veins and a delicate golden flush at the base of each fall. Elegantly rising up to 35 in. (87 cm), this midseason Japanese Iris brings its exquisite blooms in early to mid-summer. After blooming, the sword-like foliage, consisting of sturdy clumps of linear green leaves with prominent midribs is also one of its most attractive garden features. Spectacular when planted in groups, this lovely Iris will not fail at providing vertical interest in the garden.
