Justicia scheidweileri (Purple Shrimp Plant) is a tropical evergreen perennial boasting velvety green leaves adorned with contrasting silver veins, and chubby spikes of burgundy bracts enclosing purple-red flowers, from late summer to spring. It is a prolific bloomer in the tropics where it blooms all year long. The lush foliage and distinctive flowers make the Purple Shrimp Plant a natural for a tropical garden.
