Rose Stormy Weather, Rose Stormy Weather, Rosa 'Orafantanov', Rosa Princesse Sibilla de Luxembourg, Climbing Roses, Purple roses, fragrant roses, Shrub roses, Rose bushes, Garden Roses

Eye-catching, Rosa ‘Stormy Weather’ is a vigorous medium-sized climber with large clusters of slightly scented, semi-double to double, dark smoky purple flowers, 2-3 in. across (5-7 cm), with lighter reverse and lighter centers. The blossoms are perfectly displayed against the foliage of large, matte, dark green, leathery leaves. Blooming in flushes from late spring to fall, this elegant, repeat-flowering climbing rose is reliable and a prolific bloomer. Perfect along a fence, arbor or garden wall, its ravishing flowers look great in flower arrangements and bouquets.

  • Grows up to 6-10 ft. (180-300 cm) and spreads up to 5-6 ft. (150-180 cm).
  • Best grown in full sun, in rich, fertile, moist, well-drained soils. For best flowering apply a balanced fertilizer and mulch in late winter or early spring and a balanced fertilizer again in early summer.
  • Ideal for walls, arbors, fences or other garden structures. Good cut flowers.
  • Good disease resistance.
  • Propagate by hardwood cuttings in autumn or by chip budding in summer
  • Bred by Pierre Orard (France) in 2010.
