Sutera cordata MegaCopa™ White (Bacopa)

Bacopa MegaCopa™ White, Sutera cordata 'Balmecowite', Bacopa 'Balmecowite'

Blooming over a long season, Sutera cordata MegaCopa™ White (Bacopa) is a compact, trailing perennial, usually grown as an annual, boasting hundreds of brilliant white flowers adorned with a yellow throat from late spring to the first frosts. Flowering is so profuse that the blossoms cover the foliage of small, toothed, ovate leaves. Noted for its well-branched habit, large flowers, and improved heat performance, this Bacopa is terrific in garden beds, containers, or hanging baskets, where it can function as a filler or trail gracefully over the edges. Easy to grow, it is wonderful for creating a dazzling display through the summer.

  • Grows up to 4-6 in. tall (10-15 cm) and 12-18 in. wide (30-45 cm).
  • Thrives in full sun or part shade in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Do not allow Bacopa to dry out. Closely monitor the plant and water before the soil gets too dry to ensure constant bloom.
  • Bacopa is perennial in hardiness zones 9-10 or climate zones 15-17,21-24 or H2 but treated as an annual in cooler areas.
  • Bacopa is a great addition to containers, hanging baskets, or garden beds.
  • Self-cleaning, no deadheading necessary. An application of fertilizer or compost on garden beds and regular fertilization of potted plants will promote flowering.
  • Generally disease free. Keep an eye out for aphids.
  • Propagate by layering.
