Daffodils for Naturalizing, Daffodils that come back, Best Daffodils, Best Narcissus, Naturalizing Bulbs, perennial Bulbs

Naturalizing bulbs is a terrific way to brighten up lawns, prairies, or meadows in spring. They also make gardening easy. Once planted, nothing is left to do: these bulbs can stay right where they are and produce flowers year after year. What could be better? Well, you even get more flowers year after year! This is because bulbs produce new little bulbs, and many even produce seeds. It’s like getting freebies for your garden. This makes these little garden treasures highly prized by gardeners.

  • Planted in the fall, Daffodils will bloom from early to late spring, depending on the weather conditions and cultivars.
  • Hardy, they do very well within hardiness zones 3 to 9.
  • Their planting depth is generally 2 or 3 times the size of the bulb, and they thrive in moist soil and full sun to partial sun.
  • After blooming, do not remove their leaves for about six weeks to allow the bulb to absorb nutrients and grow for the following year.

The following daffodils are particularly great for naturalizing, and they multiply rapidly. Enjoy drifts of cheerful daffodils in spring!
