Armeria juniperifolia (Juniper-Leaved Thrift) is a compact, evergreen perennial forming tight cushions of pastel pink flowers in late spring to early summer. The flowers are borne just above loose rosettes of needle-like, gray-green leaves. In regions with cool summer nights, this plant may repeat flower in late summer or fall. A charming little plant that is ridiculously easy to grow and is perfect for edging walks or borders. Probably the finest thrift for the rock garden.

  • Grows up to 2-3 in. tall (5-7 cm) and 6-12 in. wide (15-30 cm).
  • Best in full sun, in dry, well-drained soils. Drought tolerant once established.
  • Virtually disease and pest free, it is deer resistant and attracts bees and butterflies.
  • A great perennial plant for edging, border fronts, rock gardens, or containers.
  • Propagate by seed, division or basal cuttings
  • Native to central Spain.
