Abendglocken Bergenia, Bergenia 'Evening Bells'
Bergenia ‘Abendglocken’ or ‘Evening Bells’ is a clump-forming evergreen perennial noted for its outstanding large-leaved foliage that turns brilliant burgundy during the winter. Borne on stout stems in early spring, erect clusters of bright rosy-red flowers rise above the attractive foliage of crinkled, leathery, dark green leaves which is often used in floral arrangements. Low maintenance, this Bergenia is primarily grown as a ground cover and looks stunning in mass plantings.
