Coreopsis 'Cosmic Eye', Tickseed 'Cosmic Eye', BIG BANG™ Series, Drought tolerant plants, dry soil plants, heat tolerant plants, humidity tolerant plants, Yellow flowers, Red flowers, Bicolor flowers

Long blooming, Coreopsis ‘Cosmic Eye’ is a compact herbaceous perennial forming a well-branched mound of mid-green foliage that remains fresh-looking all season. Blooming profusely from early summer through early fall, it is covered with a profusion of large, bright sunny yellow blossoms, up to 2 in. across (5 cm), adorned with a prominent wine-red heart and an orange button. Its compact size makes it perfect for beds, borders, containers and small gardens.

  • Grows up to 12-18 in. tall and wide (30-45 cm).
  • Thrives in full sun in dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils. Drought tolerant once established.
  • Easy to grow, relatively pest and disease free, this Coreopsis is a favorite of bees and butterflies but is ignored by deer.
  • Very versatile, it is a welcomed addition to borders, cottage gardens and does great in containers. Effective as an accent plant and spectacular in mass plantings.
