Fairy Bells
Primarily grown for its lovely foliage, Disporum sessile ‘Variegatum’ (Fairy Bells) is a spreading, rhizomatous perennial with arching stems clothed with lance-shaped, gray-green leaves attractively streaked and edged with white. In spring, small, bell-shaped, greenish-white flowers dangle at the stem ends. They are followed by blue-black berries that ripen in the fall.
