Japanese Aralia 'Spider's Web'
Fatsia japonica 'Spider's Web' (Japanese Aralia) is a bushy, evergreen shrub prized for its lush foliage of broad, palmate, dark-green leaves heavily-speckled with white. A desirable evergreen shrub adding bold texture and drama to containers and mixed borders.
- Grows up to 4-5 ft. tall (120-150 cm) and 3-4 ft. wide (90-120 cm).
- A part shade to full shade lover, this plant is easily grown in moist, well-drained soils. Protect from cold drying winds.
- Perfect as a specimen plant, for beds and borders or containers.
- Low maintenance, this plant is generally disease free. Keep an eye out for scale insects and mealybugs.
- Propagate by semi-hardwood cuttings.
- This evergreen shrub blooms on the previous or current year's growth. It needs little pruning. Prune lightly in mid to late spring, removing unsightly shoots as required.
