Picturesque, Pinus sylvestris 'Glauca'(Scotch Pine) is a slow-growing, evergreen coniferous tree of somewhat pyramidal habit with an umbrella-shaped top. Its beautiful foliage of glaucous blue-green, twisted needles, looks almost silvery blue in the cold months of winter. Equally striking is the bark, dark gray-brown on the lower trunk, and thin, flaky and bright copper-orange on the upper trunk and branches. Hardy, adaptable and pollution tolerant, this Scotch Pine is a great choice as a specimen plant or for screens and windbreaks.
