Tulip 'Sensual Touch', Fringed Tulip 'Sensual Touch', Fringed Tulips, Spring Bulbs, Spring Flowers
Exceptionally pretty, Tulip ‘Sensual Touch’ is a unique tulip variety resembling roses or peonies with its bowl-shaped flowers densely packed with golden-apricot to tangerine petals, flushed with a hint of pink and finely incised pale edges. Blooming in mid-late spring, this spectacular member of the Fringed Tulips group enjoys a long stem and will look ravishing in a vase!
A symbol of spring, tulips are the most popular spring bulbs, and most gardeners reserve them a spot in the garden or containers. Grown for their attractive, vibrantly colored flowers, there are currently over 3,000 registered varieties, which are divided into fifteen groups, primarily based on the flower type, size, and blooming period of the tulip.
More and more people are becoming interested in Fringed Tulips – so these tulips now have their group. It must be remembered, however, that because the tulips in this group are mutants from various other groups, their heights and flowering periods will vary somewhat among them. The one characteristic they have in common though is their finely incised petals. Flowering in mid or late spring, they rise to 14-30 in. (35-75 cm) and bring elegance to the garden.
