A Brightly Colored Path

Derviss Design, Verbena Homestead Purple, Stipa Tenuissima, Verbena Canadensis, low water garden ideas, garden path ideas, garden steps ideas

Awash with color, these terracota slab stones steps are closely adorned with Verbena ‘Homestead Purple’ (Verbena canadensis), a vigorous, award-winning perennial that blooms its heart out in a profuse display of rich, bright purple blossoms from late spring to frost. As a way to smooth the path turns, Mexican Feather Grass (Nassella tenuissima or Stipa tenuissima) has been interplanted. This exceptionally lovely and graceful ornamental grass exhibits silvery-green thread-like leaves that sway gracefully in the slightest breeze, delicately softening the landscapes.

A charming garden path, created by Derviss Design, where it is a real pleasure to walk along.

All plants are deer, drought and dry soil tolerant. Enjoy!
