Noted for its excellent branching and short flower stems, Gaura lindheimeri BELLEZA® Compact Light Pink (Beeblossom) is a bushy, clump-forming perennial with graceful stems studded with airy-looking, star-shaped, pale pink flowers. Blooming from early summer into early fall, the blossoms open from dark pink flower buds and flutter for months along the slender stems, resembling clouds of butterflies. The foliage consists of narrow elliptic, dark green leaves splashed with red. Adding an interesting fine texture in the garden with its flowers dancing and dangling above the red-tinged foliage, Gaura lindheimeri BELLEZA® Compact Light Pink is excellent for mixed perennial borders and is an ideal choice for containers. Performs well in high humidity and extreme heat.

  • Grows up to 12-18 in. tall (30-45 cm) and 16-20 in. wide (40-50 cm).
  • Performs best in full sun in fertile, moist but well-drained soils. Can be grown in part shade but best flowering occurs in full sun. Tolerates heat, humidity and drought once established.
  • Perfect for the sunny border for its accent color and delicate texture, Gaura can also be used in containers, rock gardens or naturalistic meadows. Stunning in small groups or large drifts. Good cut flowers.
  • Low care, this Gaura thrives on neglect and is virtually disease and pest free. Deer resistant.
  • Remove spent flowering stalks. Cut back plants in early spring
  • For home use, propagate by basal cuttings or softwood cuttings in spring or semi-ripe cuttings in summer.
