Crabapple 'White Angel', Crab Apple 'White Angel', Malus 'Inglis'
A fine white-flowering crabapple, Malus ‘White Angel’ is a compact, upright, vase-shaped, deciduous tree of great beauty. Opening from pink buds, masses of fragrant, pure white flowers appear in mid-spring. Draped in clusters along the branches, they are truly a sight to behold. The pretty blossoms are followed by abundant, glossy red fruits, 1/2 in. (1.2 cm), that mature in fall and persist into winter – if birds do not feast on them. Equally attractive, the foliage of oval dark green leaves turns golden-yellow in the fall. A splendid ornamental tree for the landscape with good disease resistance to apple scab, rust, leaf spot, and powdery mildew. Moderate resistance to fireblight.
