Award-winning Pelargonium ‘Grace Thomas’ (Scented Geranium) is a compact evergreen tender perennial boasting large, palmately-lobed, lemon-scented leaves. The leaves are covered with fine short hairs making them soft to the touch. Blooming from spring to summer, pink flowers up to 2 in. across (5 cm) are produced in clusters above the fragrant foliage. Their large upper petals are adorned with deep burgundy blotches and veins. Perfect for containers and small spaces, Apple Geranium can be grown successfully indoors too.

  • Grows up to 12-14 in. tall (30-35 cm) and 24 in. wide (60 cm).
  • Performs best in full sun in fertile, neutral to alkaline, well-drained soils. Afternoon shade is appreciated in hot climates. Provide good ventilation, and water moderately during the growing season from spring to summer, and only sparingly in winter. Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer during the growing season. Drought tolerant, once established.
  • Perfect addition to beds and borders, city gardens, coastal gardens, cottage gardens, Mediterranean gardens, or containers.
  • Keep an eye out for vine weevil, caterpillars, thrips, and gray molds.
  • Deadhead and remove yellowing leaves. Propagate by softwood cuttings in spring, late summer, or early autumn.
  • Toxic to dogs, toxic to cats, toxic to horses.
