Rosa Memorial Day™ is a strongly scented Hybrid Tea rose boasting large, very double, orchid pink flowers, 4 in. across (10 cm), packed with 41 to 50 petals. Borne mostly solitary on long sturdy stems, the exquisite old-fashioned blossoms exude a wonderful damask, old rose fragrance. Just one flower perfumes an entire room. Blooming in flushes from spring to early fall, they stand out against the lush foliage of rich green leaves. This bushy, upright shrub rose performs very well in hot weather. Perfect for beds, borders, or as a flowering hedge. A great rose for cutting too.

  • Grows up to 4-5 ft. tall (120-150 cm) and 3 ft. wide (90 cm).
  • An excellent choice for beds and borders, containers or as a flowering hedge. Stunning when mass-planted. Excellent cut flowers.
  • Best grown in full sun, in rich, fertile with adequate moisture, well-drained soils.
  • Propagate by hardwood cuttings in autumn or by chip budding in summer.
  • Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you’ll probably find you’ll have to prune a little more than that
  • Bred by Tom Carruth (United States, 2001).
