Acer shirasawanum ‘Moonrise’ (Full Moon Maple)

Acer shirasawanum ‘Moonrise’ (Full Moon Maple) is a compact, upright shrub noted for its spectacular seasonal color and resistance to disease and leaf burn. Emerging bright red in spring, the palmate leaves, adorned with sharply-toothed lobes, turn lime-green as the season progresses before changing to brilliant shades of orange and red in the fall. The contrast between the bright red new growth and the fully opened, fresh chartreuse foliage is striking throughout the summer. This unique maple cultivar is very decorative and perfect for small gardens or containers.
