Clustered Bellflower 'Caroline', Bellflower 'Caroline', Danesblood 'Caroline'

Award-winner Campanula glomerata 'Caroline' (Clustered Bellflower) is a spreading perennial with upward facing, bell-shaped, shell pink to lavender flowers held in dense clusters, 5 in. across (12 cm). Blooming mostly from late spring to early summer, the flowers are borne atop sturdy leafy stems above a slowly spreading rosette of heart-shaped soft green leaves. This charming Bellflower is perfect for a sunny or partly shaded herbaceous border.

  • Winner of the Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society.
  • Grows in sturdy clumps, up to 12-24 in. tall (30-60 cm) and 12-36 in. across (30-90 cm). It has a tendency to spread rapidly in rich soils.
  • Thrives in full sun or part shade, in average, medium, well-drained soils. Prefers part shade in warmer climates. Needs regular moisture!
  • Ideal for beds, borders, cottage gardens and naturalized areas. Plant in groups for best visual impact! Campanula glomerata makes excellent cut flowers that last up to 2 weeks in a vase!
  • Easy to grow, virtually disease and pest free, this low care perennial is also deer and rabbit resistant and adored by hummingbirds, butterflies and bees.
  • Cut back after flowering, both to prevent self-seeding and to encourage a second flush of flowers.
  • Easily divided in spring or fall.
  • Propagate by division in spring or autumn or take basal cuttings in spring
