Noted for its double flowers, Campanula persicifolia ‘Blue Bloomers’ (Peach-Leaved Bellflower) is a spreading, deciduous perennial with very large, violet-blue, double flowers in early to mid-summer. They are borne on upright, leafy stems arising from a basal rosette of narrow lance-shaped leaves. Incredibly eye-catching, the blossoms will persist longer if deadheaded. This Bellflower is an excellent choice for the border or mixed containers.

  • Grows up to 24-30 in. tall (60-75 cm) and 12-18 in across (30-45 cm). This plant has a tendency to modestly spread in satisfactory growing conditions. However, it is never invasive.
  • Thrives in full sun or part shade in average, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Prefers part shade in warmer climates. Needs regular moisture!
  • Ideal for beds, borders, and cottage gardens. Plant in groups for the best visual impact. Makes excellent fresh-cut flowers with the flowers lasting up to a week in a vase!
  • Easy to grow, and relatively disease and pest free, this low-care perennial is also deer and rabbit resistant.
  • Deadhead spent flowers to encourage new blooms and cut back after flowering to encourage a second flush of flowers. Propagate by division in spring or autumn or take basal cuttings in spring.
