Daylily 'Joan Senior', Day Lily 'Joan Senior', 'Joan Senior' Daylily, Early Midseason Daylilies
One of the most popular near whites ever created, Hemerocallis ‘Joan Senior’ is an elegant early midseason Daylily that produces an abundance of large creamy white flowers, 6 in. wide (15 cm), with gently ruffled, recurved petals and soft lime-green throats. Each flower lasts at least 16 hrs (extended blooms) but no more than 24 hours (thus the common name ‘Daylily’), opening up in the morning and withering during the forthcoming night, possibly replaced by another one on the same scape (flower stalk) the next day. This diploid Daylily is evergreen and the winner of multiple awards.
