Tulip 'Sweet Lady', Greigii Tulip 'Red Sweet Lady', Greigii Tulips, Spring Bulbs, Spring Flowers

Tulip 'Sweet Lady' is short but highly visible with its soft peach-blossom-pink petals and yellow-tinged bronze base atop handsomely mottled leaves! The flowers, large in proportion to the plant's total height, up to 4 in. wide (10 cm), open wide in the full sun. Belonging to the Greigii Tulip Group, 'Sweet Lady' will reliably bring sparkles to the garden in early to mid-spring.

  • Growing only 12 inches tall (30 cm), this tulip naturalizes easily and will come back year after year to our delight! It creates dazzling harmonies with other early flowering bulbs.
  • Performs best in full sun in rich, fertile, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Prefers areas with cool winters and warm, dry summers.
  • Easy to grow, this tulip is a welcomed addition to beds, borders, containers, rock gardens, or for naturalizing in grass. For best visual impact, plant in groups (at least 10 to 15 bulbs) or mixed with any other flowering bulbs.
  • To be planted in fall.
  • All parts may cause severe discomfort following ingestion and may cause an allergic skin reaction. Wear gloves and other protective equipment when handling.
  • Toxic to dogs, toxic to cats, toxic to horses.

A symbol of spring, tulips are the most popular spring bulbs and most gardeners reserve them a spot in the garden or in containers. Grown for their attractive, vibrantly colored flowers, there are currently over 3,000 registered varieties, which are divided into fifteen groups, mostly based on the flower type, size, and blooming period of the tulip.

Greigii Tulips produce single bowl-shaped flowers in early to mid-spring. The principal colors are red, yellow, and white. Combined with their stunning spotted and striped leaves, these flower colors create an unforgettable visual impact. These qualities make Greigii tulips unsurpassed for use in borders, rock gardens, and in pots. Very reliable perennials, these tulips are low growing (8 - 12 inches, 20 - 30 cm).
