Tulipa urumiensis (Botanical Tulip)

Award-winning Tulipa urumiensis (Iran Tulip) is a beautiful little bulbous perennial boasting 1 or 2 star-shaped, yellow flowers, 2-3 in. across (5-7 cm), adorned with pointed petals and flushed with brown outside. Blooming in early spring, the blossoms open out flat in the sun. They are held on short stems above the foliage of spreading, folded, glaucous leaves. A perfect little beautiful tulip with lots of vigor. Tulipa urumiensis is extremely low-growing, making it best suited for rock gardens. A member of the Botanical Tulips.

• Growing up to 4-8 in. tall (10-25 cm), this tulip naturalizes easily and will come back year after year.
• Performs best in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil with shelter from strong winds and protection from excessive wet.
