Ginkgo biloba ‘Peve Maribo’ (Maidenhair Tree) is a dwarf, deciduous conifer of upright, flat globose habit, adorned with thick branches, densely packed with fan-shaped leaves, striped cream to light yellow. The foliage holds its coloration throughout the growing season, before turning brilliant golden yellow in the fall. Slow-growing, 3-4 in. per year (7-10 cm), this small Maidenhair Tree is attractive in all seasons – Even in winter, when its stark silhouette bristles with spiky buds, given the tree an exotic charm. This male cultivar does not produce the distinctive fruit and is perfect as an accent for locations requiring a smaller tree. One of the most pollution-tolerant trees.

  • Grows up to 3 ft. tall and wide (90 cm) after 10 years.
  • A full sun lover, this plant is easily grown in average, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Tolerant of a wide range of soil conditions, including both alkaline and acidic soils.
  • Salt, heat or air pollution tolerance.
  • Perfect as a specimen tree.
  • Generally pest and disease free
  • Propagate by seed or semi-hardwood cuttings. This tree transplants easily and establishes without difficulty.
  • Native to China
