Hebe 'Boughton Dome', Veronica cupressoides 'Boughton Dome'

Hebe cupressoides ‘Boughton Dome’, Hebe 'Boughton Dome', Veronica cupressoides 'Boughton Dome', Evergreen Shrub, Small Shrub, Dwarf Shrub

Resembling a dwarf conifer, Hebe cupressoides ‘Boughton Dome’ is a splendid, low-growing, evergreen shrub forming a dense, symmetrical mound of small, gray-green leaves. Slow-growing, it forms a decorative dome, densely clothed with its cypress-like foliage. Unlike other hebes, which have small spikes of white, pink, or purple flowers, ‘Boughton Dome’ is not known to flower. A great choice for the rock garden.

  • Typically grows up to 2 ft. tall (60 cm) and 3 ft. wide (90 cm).
  • Thrives in full sun or part shade in poor to moderately fertile, well-drained soils.
  • Very versatile, this plant is perfect for banks and slopes, beds and borders, or containers. Well suited to city gardens, coastal gardens, rock gardens, or cottage gardens.
  • Rarely affected by pests or diseases, it requires little maintenance. Keep an eye out for aphids and downy mildew.
  • Needs little pruning. Prune lightly removing unsightly shoots as required in mid to late spring. This shrub blooms in summer and late fall on the previous or current year’s growth.
