Helianthus ‘Happy Days’ is a dwarf Perennial Sunflower forming an upright foliage mound of dark green leaves. From midsummer to early fall, it produces large, brilliant, double flowers, up to 4 in. across (10 cm), with short golden petals surrounding a prominent, anemone-style, yellow center. Borne on purple, branched stems, the flower heads attract scores of butterflies and hummingbirds. Compact, this Perennial Sunflower is perfect for beds and borders. Excellent for cutting too!

  • Winner of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society for its noteworthy qualities
  • Grows up to 24 in. tall (60 cm) and 12-18 in. wide (30-45 cm).
  • Prefers full sun and enjoys moderately fertile, humus-rich, moist, neutral to alkaline, well-drained soils.
  • Low maintenance, this is an excellent choice for the middle of perennial borders where the dazzling flowers are welcomed in any color scheme. Perfectly suited to the cutting garden, or cottage gardens.
  • Cut the dead stems back to the ground in late fall, or leave for winter interest
