Perfect for gardens of all sizes, Rosa Carefree Wonder is a lush, rounded shrub rose boasting large, mildly fragrant, semi-double, candy pink flowers, 4 in. across (10 cm), adorned with a bouquet of bright yellow stamens. Borne in small clusters, the cup-shaped blossoms entice passing butterflies to use them as perfect landing pads. Blooming all season without upkeep, they stand out against the glossy dark green foliage. Floriferous, easy to grow, low maintenance, disease resistant, this shrub rose brings cheerful color to the garden or landscape. Perfect for mixed borders and beds, containers or as a flowering hedge.

  • Grows up to 3-4 ft. tall and wide (90-120 cm).
  • Best grown in full sun in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil. For best flowering apply a balanced fertilizer and mulch in late winter or early spring and a balanced fertilizer again in early summer.
  • An excellent choice for beds and borders, city gardens, cottage gardens, patio containers or as a colorful hedge.
  • Keep an eye out for aphids, rose leafhopper, scale insects, caterpillars, large rose sawfly, rose leaf-rolling sawfly, black spot, rose rust and rose powdery mildew.
  • Propagate by semi-ripe cuttings in late summer or hardwood cuttings in autumn, for home use only.
  • Bred by Alain Meilland (1940-….) (France, before 1990). Bred by Jacques Mouchotte (France, before 1990).
