Aloe Moonglow™
Moonglow Aloe, Aloe 'LEO 3151A'
Incredibly floriferous, Aloe Moonglow™ is a medium-sized evergreen succulent forming clumps of densely held rosettes of fleshy, narrow, gray-green leaves, up to 18 in. long (45 cm). The upright leaves are lined with yellow teeth along the margins. Magnificent pale yellow flowers appear on branching inflorescences in late fall and persist through midwinter. Rising well above the foliage, they attract bees, birds and hummingbirds. Aloe Moonglow comes from the breeding program of Leo Thamm of Sunbird Aloes in Johannesburg, South Africa. A very decorative plant that is spectacular when in bloom.
- Grows up to 2-3 ft. tall (60-90 cm) and 2 ft. wide (60 cm).
- Easily grown in well-drained soils in full sun or light shade. Provide occasional to infrequent irrigation. Will benefit from water in very dry climate, particularly in summer
- Great for beds and borders, rock gardens, succulent gardens or Mediterranean gardens. Ideal as an accent plant in sunny borders or in decorative containers.
- Deer resistant. The flowers produce nectar and are attractive to birds and bees
- Virtually disease free. Watch for scale insects and mealybugs.
