Argyranthemum frutescens Vanilla Butterfly® (Marguerite) is a short-lived, tender perennial or subshrub, often grown as an annual. Blooming continuously from planting to hard frost, it boasts a profusion of large, blush yellow daisy flowers that literally cover the plant. The foliage forms a neat mound of bright green, coarsely divided leaves. Blooming for months without deadheading, this Marguerite is extremely easy to grow. More heat tolerant than older varieties, it will still do best with cool night temperatures.

  • Grows up 18-36 in. tall (45-90 cm) and 12-20 in. wide (30-50 cm).
  • Thrives in full sun in average, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Light shade is tolerated, specifically in hot summer areas.
  • Excellent choice for beds and borders, city gardens, coastal gardens, cottage gardens, Mediterranean gardens or containers.
  • An application of fertilizer or compost on garden beds and regular fertilization of plants in pots will help ensure the best possible performance.
  • Deadheading not necessary.
