Brightening up the shade garden, Carex siderosticha ‘Banana Boat’ is a deciduous Sedge forming a spreading clump of broadly linear, bold golden-yellow leaves adorned with narrow, dark green edges and streaks. In early spring, it bears inconspicuous greenish flower spikes before the new leaves emerge. A great choice for naturalizing, it is quite versatile in the garden and terrific in mixed containers. Great as tropical or woodland accents in sweeps or drifts.
