Bursting with sparkling color over a very long blooming season, Gomphrena pulchella Truffula™ Pink (Globe Amaranth) is an eye-catching annual plant that creates fireworks in the garden from spring to frost. This prolific bloomer produces masses of long-lasting, intense hot pink pom-poms tipped with tangerine atop gracefully arching stems. The blossoms are a magnet for bees, butterflies and other pollinators. This plant is well branched and will tend to keep mounding up on itself. If you do happen to see it split, it will quickly branch and fill in any open spaces. Low maintenance, fairly pest and disease-free, drought and heat tolerant, Globe Amaranth is an attractive architectural element in the landscape and looks amazing at home as it makes excellent fresh cut flowers and everlasting dried arrangements.

  • Grow up to 22-28 in. tall (55-70 cm) and 22-26 in. wide (55-65 cm).
  • This fast and tough-as-nails performer is really not fussy about soils and thrives in average, dry to medium, well-drained soils in full sun. Tolerant of drier and less fertile situations, this plant is drought tolerant once established.
  • A welcomed addition to beds and borders, containers, rock gardens, cutting gardens.
  • No deadheading required.
