Hedera helix 'Needlepoint' (English Ivy) is a small evergreen climber with elegant, dark green leaves adorned with 3-5 sharply pointed lobes. The leaves are small but set close together. Extremely ornamental, this versatile ivy is perfect for hanging baskets or other containers, or as a groundcover or as a clinging vine for a stone wall.
- May grow up to 3 ft. tall (90 cm).
- A part shade to full shade lover, it is best grown in fertile, medium moisture, well-drained soils. This plant is not fussy about soils and tolerates a wide range of conditions. Some drought tolerance, but produces its best foliage color in evenly moist soils. Provide shelter from cold, drying winds.
- Susceptible to leaf spot, aphids, scale insects and vine weevil.
