A stunning Japanese Iris, ‘Queen’s Tiara’ (Iris ensata) is gorgeous with its large, 6 in. across (15 cm), perfectly formed, crepe-like, white flowers with delicate light purple veins that perfectly match the short, upright, royal-purple standards. The contrasting bright yellow-green throats add a delightful touch to these superb orchid-like flowers. Rising with majesty up to 36 in. (90 cm), this Japanese Iris exhibits its exquisite blooms in early to mid-summer. After blooming, the sword-like foliage, consisting of sturdy clumps of linear green leaves with prominent midribs, is also one of its most attractive garden features.
