Juniperus squamata 'Blue Star' (Flaky Juniper) is a dwarf evergreen shrub forming a globe-shaped mound of dense, sparkling silver-blue foliage changing to a purplish heather-blue in winter. Slow-growing, this compact Juniper makes a wonderful dwarf groundcover and looks terrific in the rock garden. It creates a stunning and very classy look in the landscape.

- Grows up to 2-3 ft. tall (30-90 cm) and 3-4 ft. wide (30-120 cm).
- A full sun lover, this plant is easily grown in average, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Tolerates a wide range of soils including poor soils, dry soils and sandy soils. Somewhat intolerant of hot and humid growing conditions. Drought tolerant once established.
- Perfect as a specimen shrub, foundation plant, for the rock gardens or massed to form a bushy groundcover.
- Low maintenance, no pruning required.
- Propagate by semi-hardwood cuttings
