Loropetalum chinense var. rubrum ‘Sizzling Pink’ (Chinese Fringe Flower) is a bushy evergreen shrub of rounded, oval habit with deep burgundy leaves fading to olive green with a tinge of purple. In spring, it produces abundant clusters of rich pink, spidery flowers, each with narrow, twisted, inch-long petals. The vibrant blossoms stand out against the dark evergreen foliage. Making a bold statement in the landscape, this striking evergreen shrub is perfect as an accent or in mass plantings. It makes a lovely hedge along the entryway and looks great in perennial borders.
