Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Victoria', Kohuhu 'Victoria', Tawhiwhi 'Victoria', Evergreen Shrubs, Variegated Pittosporum

Pittosporum tenuifolium ‘Victoria’ (Kohuhu) is a bushy, evergreen shrub boasting beautiful, small, leathery, gray-green leaves adorned with irregular, white margins. The leaves are tinged rosy-purple in winter. They provide a luminous and dense variegated foliage year-round. Clusters of fragrant, tiny, dark purple flowers appear in late spring and early summer. While the flowers are inconspicuous, their sweet honey scent will fill the air with their perfume. Useful for a color accent in mixed plantings, screens, groupings, and even hedges.

  • Grows up to 10 ft. tall (300 cm) and 6 ft. wide (180 cm).
  • Thrives in full sun or part shade in fertile, moist, well-drained soils.
  • Very versatile, this plant is perfect for beds and borders. Well suited to city gardens, coastal gardens or cottage gardens.
  • Requires little maintenance. No routine pruning necessary. Remove diseased, damaged, congested or crossing shoots.
  • Generally disease free. Keep an eye out for glasshouse red spider mite, aphids, cushion scale and pittosporum sucker.
  • Propagate by semi-hardwood cuttings in summer.
