Zinnia 'Profusion' Series
Zinnia elegans 'Profusion', Zinnia angustifolia 'Profusion', Zinnia x hybrida 'Profusion'
A real breakthrough in the world of Zinnias, the hybrid 'Profusion' Series is a stunning cross between Zinnia angustifolia and Zinnia Elegans which combines the best traits of both species: disease resistance; drought, heat and humidity tolerance and easy maintenance (no deadheading).
- A vigorous and excellent performer in all climates, the Profusion series offers a wide range of colors, including single or double flowers - an offering to suit every need!
- Blooming profusely over a long season extending from early summer to frost, it typically forms dense, compact mounds up to 18 in. tall (45 cm) on upright, branching stems and spreads 24 in. (60 cm). It is a great choice for the front of borders, beds, or large containers.
- Profusion series won multiple prestigious awards: Orange, White, and Cherry are All America Selections Gold Medal Winners; Cherry is also a Fleuroselect Gold Medal Winner; Yellow is a 2009 North Texas Winner's Circle Award Winner (Texas A&M University).
- Adored by butterflies, flowers are only 2 in. wide (5 cm) but they are so abundant that, as a group, they do stand out! As the flower matures, a circle of small golden stars surrounds its center disk.
- Extremely easy to grow, Zinnias are annuals that love full sun, and prefer a humusy, evenly moist, and well-draining soil.
- Don't crowd them to keep them disease-free and avoid powdery mildew. Air circulation is important!
