Noted for its large flowers, Delosperma RED MOUNTAIN® Flame (Ice Plant) is a showy evergreen succulent with a profusion of vibrant deep orange red flowers, 2 in. across (5 cm), adorned with a narrow pink halo and a white center. Blooming in late spring to early summer, the blossoms are produced in such quantities that they literally cover the lush foliage of fleshy, blue-green leaves. The intensity of the flower color, combined with the long blooming season and evergreen foliage, reinforce the ornamental interest of this plant. A wonderful groundcover and an indispensable element of waterwise landscapes.
