Aptly named, Sedum spurium ‘Tricolor’ (Caucasian Stonecrop) is a creeping, mat-forming, semi-evergreen perennial with small, fleshy, variegated leaves, green in the center with white margins tinged with pink. The foliage remains attractive throughout the growing season. Sitting atop short stems, clusters of small, pale pink, starry flowers appear in summer. Easy to maintain and drought tolerant, ‘Tricolor’ can withstand poor, dry soil conditions. Wonderful as a ground cover, in the rock garden, along walkways or cascading over stone walls. Evergreen in warm winter climates.

  • Grows up to 3-6 in. tall (7-15 cm) and 12-18 in. wide (30-45 cm).
  • Best grown in full sun, in dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils. Tolerates some light shade.
  • Perfect for rock gardens, containers, as a groundcover or edging plant.
  • No serious pest or disease issues. Keep an eye out for slugs, snails and vine weevil. Deer and rabbit resistant.
  • Low maintenance, this Sedum forgives neglect!
  • Propagate by division or from leaf cuttings.
  • Sedum spurium species is native to the Caucusus.
