Hibiscus 'Cherry Choco Latte' (Rose Mallow)

Rose Mallow 'Cherry Choco Latte', Hardy Hibiscus 'Cherry Choco Latte', Summerific Collection

Perfect for small gardens, Hibiscus 'Cherry Choco Latte' (Rose Mallow) is a compact, bushy deciduous shrub noted for its extra large, white flowers, up to 9 in. across (22 cm), adorned with intense deep pink veining and a conspicuous red eye. Blooming continuously from mid to late summer, each flower lasts about one day and stands out against the dark olive-green foliage of maple-like leaves. The striking blossoms are produced in succession from the top to the bottom of the plant, and cover the shrub almost entirely. Perfect backdrop or centerpiece for a sunny border. Great for containers too.

  • Typically grows up to 4 ft. tall and wide (120 cm).
  • A full sun to part shade lover, this plant is best grown in average, medium moisture, well-drained soils.
  • Fairly pest and disease free. Watch for aphids, mealybugs and thrips. Deer resistant.
  • Plant in shrub borders or large containers for dramatic summer blooms.
  • Cut it down in spring before new growth appears.
