Rosa Suñorita® is a bushy, rounded shrub rose boasting a profusion of bowl-shaped, soft orange flowers packed with several dozen petals and fading to golden yellow. Blooming continuously from early summer to frost, the showy flowers entice passing butterflies to use them as perfect landing pads. They stand out against the healthy, glossy dark green foliage. Easy to grow, low maintenance, and highly disease resistant, this charming shrub rose can be grown on its own, in the garden among other perennials, shrubs, or roses, or as a flowering hedge for an easy care display of consistent color.

  • American Rose Society Award of Excellence, Hague Rose Trials Second Class Certificate.
  • Grows up to 3-4 ft. tall and wide (90-120 cm).
  • Best grown in full sun in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil. Mulch with well-rotted organic matter in late winter or early spring, and for best flowering apply a general rose or shrub fertilizer in early spring and again in early summer.
  • An excellent choice for beds and borders, city gardens, cottage gardens, or as a flowering hedge.
  • Deadheading is not required for continuous blooms.
  • Keep an eye out for aphids, rose leafhopper, scale insects, caterpillars, large rose sawfly, rose leaf-rolling sawfly, black spot, rose rust, and rose powdery mildew.
  • Cut back by about half to one-third of its total height in early spring.
  • Propagate by semi-ripe cuttings in late summer or hardwood cuttings in autumn, or by chip budding in summer.
