Salvia Skyscraper Orange (Sage) is an upright perennial boasting tall, sturdy spikes of large, two-lipped, tubular, glowing orange flowers with matching calyxes. Blooming from spring to fall, the blossoms are attractive to butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, and other pollinators. The flowers are borne above the bushy foliage clump of ovate dark green leaves. Fast-growing, this sage tolerates drought and heat. A striking waterwise sage that adds bright color and attractive foliage to borders or containers. Excellent cut flowers!

  • Tender, this plant is hardy to zones 7-10 and is generally treated as an annual in cooler areas.
  • Grows up to 14-28 in. tall (35-70 cm) and 12-18 in. wide (30-45 cm).
  • Performs best in full sun in moist but well-drained soils. Appreciates some afternoon shade in hot summer climates. Drought tolerant once established.
  • Well-suited to beds and borders, containers, city gardens, cottage gardens, or Mediterranean gardens.
  • No serious pest or disease issues.
  • Cut back after flowering.
  • Propagate by seed in spring.
