Tanacetum parthenium 'Aureum' (Golden Feverfew)

A highly popular golden-leaved variety, Tanacetum parthenium 'Aureum' (Golden Feverfew) is a mounded, clump-forming, dwarf cultivar with sprays of small white daisies atop a particularly decorative aromatic foliage. Emerging chartreuse, the feathery, fern-like foliage of pinnately lobed leaves turns green by midsummer. It is fragrant when bruised or crushed. Vigorous, this  short-lived perennial will light up your garden beds from early to late summer. Allowing some seeding will keep this lovely plant in the garden.

  • Grows in bushy, rounded clumps, up to 12-18 in. tall (30-45 cm) and 18-24 in. wide (45-60 cm).

  • Tanacetum parthenium is highly versatile and is an ideal addition to bedsbordersrock gardenscottage gardens or naturalized areas (where it can self-seed freely). This is a great edging plant too!

  • Promptly shear off spent flowers in order to control undesired self-seeding.
