Zinnia ‘Giant Violet Queen’ boasts magnificent, large, double flowers, up to 5-6 in. across (12-15 cm), packed with rich, purple petals. As the flower matures, a circle of small golden stars surrounds its center disk. Resembling dahlias, they are borne on very long, sturdy stems and make a big statement in the landscape. Blooming profusely over a lengthy season extending from mid-summer to frost, this tall Zinnia is perfect for sunny borders and makes long-lasting cut flowers.

  • Forms a dense, compact mound up to 3 ft. tall (90 cm) and 2 ft. wide (60 cm).
  • Extremely easy to grow, Zinnias are annuals which love full sun and prefer a humusy, evenly moist and well-draining soil.
  • Great choice for the back of sunny beds and borders or large containers. Excellent pick for the cutting garden!
  • Adored by butterflies, hummingbirds and birds.
  • Don’t crowd them to keep them disease-free and avoid powdery mildew. Air circulation is important!
  • Among the easiest plants to grow from seed, you can start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before the last first date, should you wish earlier spring blooms.
