Resembling rosebuds, Impatiens walleriana 'Rockapulco Wisteria' is a charming, well-branched perennial, usually grown as an annual, boasting masses of lavender double flowers adorned with a dusting of white. Blooming freely from late spring to the first frosts, the blossoms contrast nicely against the foliage of dark green leaves. Very easy to care for, this ravishing Impatiens is ideal to brighten up a shady area. Heat tolerant, it is terrific for beds and borders or containers. Plant it where the flower detail can be admired close up.
- Grows up to 10-20 in. tall (25-50 cm) and 12-24 in. wide (30-60 cm).
- Extremely easy to grow, this walleriana impatiens thrives in part shade or full shade in moist, well-drained soil. Provide a sheltered site. An application of fertilizer or compost on garden beds and regular fertilization of plants in pots will help ensure the best possible performance.
- Impatiens are perennials in hardiness zones 10-11 or climate zones 17, 24, H1, H2, but treated as annuals in cooler areas.
- No deadheading necessary.
